  19. The Mitel Dataset 2 works generally in pairs or in conjunction with the
  20. Dataset 1 where it can be used as a 2-wire asynchronous 19.2k bps
  21. short-haul modem.  It is *not* for use on public switched-dial networks.
  22.  
  23. It is part of Mitel's SX2000 series product line and can be used in
  24. conjunction with a Mitel PBS and a dataset line card to provide switched
  25. data services to another dataset.  Max link speed 19.2k bps.  It is not
  26. Hayes/AT-Command set compatible nor will it connect to anything but
  27. another Dataset 2 or Dataset 1.
